Unexpected snow on the Peninsula this past weekend
I had the privilege of experiencing some pretty epic snow conditions in Lake Tahoe this past weekend. The roads closed (Highway 50, from Placerville to Meyers), there was about 4 feet of new snow and avalanche patrol was in full effect. The one thing I was looking forward to on my way home from Tahoe was finally getting out of the snow... well, not really. Maybe just getting out of all the chaos the snow had caused. But this didn't happen, parts of the Peninsula got a good snow dusting on Saturday -- I ended up coming home to snow. Here are a few photos taken on Saturday morning near the intersection of Kings Mountain Road and Skyline in Woodside. We may get another snow dusting later this week between Thursday and Saturday, I'll keep you posted.
